Hair:
Dark golden blond with thick, curly ringlets cut just above the shoulders. On the right side just behind her ear she has a string of beads hanging down her shoulder that reaches longer then her own hair. The beads are of different yellow, green and brownish colours.

Clothes:

A tight, low cut golden brown vest that laces up the center and is decorated with embroidered gold leaves covers the blouse. Calf-high golden brown boots with buckles on the tops.

Role Play

Personality:
Lark has a serious, level-headed personality, but she can be very sentimental. She doesn't live as much in the NOW as other elves she could name, but that just makes her love them all the more because she also has a very strong mothering instinct that can periodically become overbearing.

She has a dry sense of humour and she enjoys playfully teasing elves less mindful than herself. She happily sees herself as everyone's caregiver and because of this, she enjoys her moments of levity all the more, despite others' dislike of her meddling in their business. Lark is very rationale minded, but once she perceives that something is wrong, she is quick to act. She can be harsh with those who've earned her ire and she finds it difficult to apologise.

Treasures:
A dagger and arm band and a wooden flute given to her by Nettle. A headband Tendril wore as a cub. A beaded choker style necklace Foxears made for her with strands of her family's hair.

History:
A quiet and timid cub with an almost perpetual furrow of seriousness and determination on her face, her parents gave her the name Quietbrow. Although she soon discovered her singing voice and sang quietly to herself frequently, her somewhat shy nature in her youth prevented her from sharing her special ability. It wasn't until her lovemating with Nettle and his gentle encouragement that finally persauded her to take the title song shaper and the new name of Lark, an endearment Nettle bestowed upon her.

The eldest of Smokepath and Lovemaker's three cubs, she has the most practical nature of any of them. She and Foxears are of age and have been close friends since they were cubs. She was quick to find out that two turns didn't necessarily make Foxears her 'elder' and it was usually up to her to keep them out of too much trouble.

As she grew older, Lark became increasingly attracted to Nettle's quiet nature. Her quest for her soul name began as an attempt to follow him, unseen, on a hunting trip. She lost track of him and wandered the canyons, listening to the sounds of the forest. Time and distance soon lost meaning as she meandered through the rocks and trees for nights on end, not stopping to eat and rarely to sleep.

Finally she found herself back at Rushwater Holt amid the worried faces of her tribe mates. When Nettle had returned before her, Smokepath and Lovemaker had gone into a frenzy. After explanations had been given, she ate and went to bed, exhausted. The next day, she awoke to find Nettle waiting for her with a dagger and a finely carved wooden flute in hand. After a long courtship of sorts, the two became lovemates.

Foxears, at first pleased by the blossoming romance, eventually began to resent it. A quarrel between him and Nettle dissolved that friendship, and Foxears began to demand more and more of Lark's time, in an attempt to drive a wedge between the two lovers. Lark soon tired of this, but in an explosive argument, she and Foxears found themselves Recognized.

Nettle was heart broken, and after a fierce battle with Foxears, left Rushwater Holt. Foxears had succeeded in driving away his competition, but he also drove away his soul mate. Unable to forgive him, Lark stayed on uneasy terms with Foxears for many turns.

Foxears regretted his earlier actions, and upon Nettle's return, extended his hand in friendship. Lark was far more difficult to convince, but with Tendril so obviously delighted with the idea of having two fathers, Lark found it impossible to maintain her anger. The lifemates have since been reunited.

When Nettle Recognized Firemoss, Lark was shocked and taken aback by this seeming loss of her old time lovemate. She feared that he would leave her and Foxears to instead den with Firemoss and perhaps also Duskwater. She was relieved to discover otherwise but still felt somewhat put aside by the whole affair, finally experiencing what Nettle must have when she and Foxears Recognized. She came to terms with her jealousy during Clover's birth, giving mother and cub a new song which she sang after the birthing as her way of apologising. She and Firemoss have become good friends since then and are often found together chatting over cubs and lifemates, which she seems to feel has helped her deal with Tendril's independance and becoming an adult of her own.
