Heart-shaped face, delicate long and thin white eyebrows. Strands of her bangs fall selectively around her eyes and in front of her tapered ears framing her face. Full lips accustomed to barking out orders, high cheekbones, narrow chin and a straight nose.

Role Play

Personality:
Very forthright and blunt - gets to the point. The tribe's undisputed master at barking orders. Snowspear loves the hunt - it is her passion and her life, especially taking the cubs out for their first hunts. Some of the tribe members see her as rather cold or distanced but she can be very calm and tender when it suits her purpose, usually only in the privacy of her denning tree. Strong and independent, she needs no one but will seek the company of others when she feels like it. Contrary to popular belife, Snowspear does have a softer side, but only a very select few have ever been allowed to witnes it (her sister Snowsoft and her previous lovemate, Lonewolf being among the lucky few).

Treasures:
Braid of her parents' hair and a roughly carved wolf statue given to her by Lonewolf.

History:
Originally named Snowflake for her stark white hair, Snowspear learned different hunting skills from both her parents who excelled in two main areas. Her mother, Goldflame, taught her swimming and fish spearing, while Haste, her father, was a master spear thrower. She enjoyed learning these skills, but sometimes she felt overwhelmed by her parents' vigilance. She wanted more freedom and space for herself.

Snowflake went on her soul name quest when still quite young. Her soul name came to her easily, and she enjoyed the solitude of her journey. When she returned she took the name Brittlebark and moved to her own den. She still felt a strong closeness to her parents, but she distanced herself from them so she could learn on her own.

Snowspear was surprised when she learned that her mother was pregnant with another child. She was happy for them and excited to have a younger sibling. At the same time in a strange way, she felt slightly jealous, because she knew the child would become the center of her parents' lives, as she once was for them.

Because of her smothered feelings in her earliest relationships, she has continued to keep most elves at an arm's length. She can appear cold and distant at times, but mostly, she feels a great need to have her space and independence. She is close to very few elves but when she wants company, she can be tender and loving.

She takes hunting very seriously, eventually becoming the Hunt Leader as a result of her skills and tenacity and at this time she took the name Snowspear. She can be a very stern authoritative figure in the hunt. A fact some find chafing but most respect.

Several turns of the seasons ago, Snowspear took in Silverwolf as her foster daughter when the cub's parents, Gentle Eyes and Arrowsting, were lost in a mud slide. Gentle Eyes and Arrowsting were close hunt mates of Snowspear and as such she felt obliged to take the young cub Silverwolf, then only four turns old, into her denning tree to raise as her own. Snowspear was devastated when Silverwolf disappeared on her soul name search but staying true to her personality, she never showed it.

After almost 200 turns of hiding their feelings, Snowspear and Lonewolf finally had a short time as a happy couple. But it didn't last long. Lonewolf's bond wolf, Fire Eye challenged Snowspear's, Roottail. Roottail won, and killed Fire Eye. Lonewolf was so devastated that he left the Holt. He eventually returned, but their relationship would never be the same again. Even though Snowspear felt very hurt and almost betrayed by Lonewolf's way of dealing with the loss of his wolf, she has forgiven him, and now considers him to be a close friend.

Snowspear's long-time wolf-friend, Roottail died during a hunt. The aged wolf fought valiently and helped the hunting party to bring down a crazed longtooth but recived fatal injuries. Unable to see her friend suffer, Snowspear borrowed one of Dirk's daggers and did what she had to do.
