Personality:
A bright and bubbling personality, Dreamberry attacks life with the enthusiasm of youthful vitality and optimism and enjoys life's hedonistic pleasures without regret. She understands that life is unpredictable and often short, and so should make the most out of what one has, living for the moment and to the fullest. She can be serious, having learned invaluable wisdom from the memories she holds, but rathers not to and rarely allows herself to experience depression or become distraught, as neither of these states or those similar to them contribute to a worthwhile life.

Treasures:
Dreamberries! The memories that she houses; whether good or bad they are important to the tribe. Howling and a good tumble in the furs. The gold anklet given to her by Rock.

History:
Dreamberry's future position as howl keeper was well anticipated before her birth as she inadvertantly shared her strong gift of ancestral memories with her gravid mother. At first the images haunted Thicket, who did not understand their significance, and she sought the aid of Dreamshadow in order to determine their origin and meaning, which helped to lay her worries to rest. When Dreamberry was later born with her rich, violet eyes, her parents agreed it was another sign of their cub's purpose and decided to give her a name that would befit her status: Dreamberry.

While growing up, Dreamberry held true to her name, discovering a strong predaliction for the special fruit. She was often found among the berry bushes, fingers and mouth stained dark purple and a wide grin on her impish face. As this behaviour continued she became something of the tribe's dreamberry expert, cultivating special patches of the bushes and tending closely to their care. She learned how to perserve fresh berries using beesweets and developed a highly successfull method for drying the berries while still maintaining their intoxication properties; thereby ensuring that she and the tribe would never be without the dreamberry. Her sensitive wolfish nose became finely attuned to their scent and her tolerance became unsurpassed among her tribe mates.

Meanwhile, her gift in being a vessal for the tribe's ancestral memories continued and strengthened. Visions of sensations and experiences of those who had come long before her were frequent, flittering through her mind between the NOW of the Wolfsong. As a very young cub she thought nothing of the oddity of many of these memories and merely assumed they were her own experiences, strange as they seemed. As a result, she became known for huge fishtails of stories, which she told with a strikingly eerie sense of realism. Later as she grew, she learned to distinguish between her own experiences and the memories she kept for her people. She also discovered that with practice and the aid of her dreamberries she could more accurately focus the memories, encouraging them to rise or retreat as she desired and share them with others. When she finally felt she had adequately mastered her gift, she accepted the title of howl keeper officially.

In the last few turns she has found an apprentice in Dirk, a surprising turn of events for Dreamberry, who never expected to be anyone's mentor. At first she found herself stumped at how to approach the situation, as Dirk did not possess the gift of ancestral memories as she did. But Dirk's obvious eagerness at howls and appreciation for storytelling encouraged Dreamberry to try nonetheless and she has been steadily sharing specific memories that bubble to the surface with the huntress so that she may have her own repository of tales to draw from. This progress has been slow, especially with Dirk a mother and preoccupied with her family, but it has helped to rekindle the spark of pride Dreamberry has for her special gift.

Dreamberry and Wildstar have always shared the closest of bonds, thanks to their soul sibling link. Wildstar provides Dreamberry with a certain amount of grounding she needs so as not to be washed away by the visions within her or completely enveloped by the haze of dreamberries she ritually subjects herself to. In turn, Dreamberry helps her chieftess friend learn to return to the Wolfsong and enjoy life despite its cliffs and valleys. The addition of Rock to their den has enriched each woman's life moreso, and Dreamberry in particular enjoys the arrangement.

The lovemating, however, wouldn't not be a permanent one. During Storm Rage of 1769, Wildstar Recognized Lonewolf while out on her annual scouting trip to follow the Land Lopers' return to the canyon forests. Dreamberry learned of the Recognition before the couple returned to the holt, due to her soul link to Wildstar, and she watched Lonewolf's den from the shadows when the new couple returned in secret. When Wildstar finally emerged to seek Firemoss' wisdom, Dreamberry confronted Wildstar, arguing the need to share her information with the tribe and Rock especially, whom she knew would be devastated by the knowledge. When Rock chose to leave the holt following Wildstar's announcement, Dreamberry was crushed, having hoped to console Rock during his time of need. Even even she and Birchbark could not together convince Rock to return to the holt, Dreamberry reluctantly allowed her lovemate of old to work things out in his own way, hoping that Duskwater might finally encourage him to return. She has since continued to monitor the pair's well-being by reviewing her memories with minimal satisfaction.

Name: Mooncrier
Sex: Female
Age: 37
Rank: Alpha Female
Mooncrier

Markings:
Light and dark motley pelt with white cheeks, underbelly and stockings. Pert ears, long muzzle, long legs and dark brown eyes.

Personality:
Mooncrier is a calm and dignified wolf. Like her elf-friend, Mooncrier is often found howling at the two moons, accompanied by her mate, Howler. Although she bares the majority of the pack litters, she has been known on occasion to allow lesser females in the pack to bear young, too, provided they do not step out of rank. She is, however, growing long in the tooth and Dreamberry knows this. The last litter the Alpha bitch birthed was troublesome in nature and required the aid of Birchbark's midwifery skills.
