Role Play
Personality:
Lonewolf is somewhat of a loner. He spends a lot of time in the forest, sometimes whole seasons, with his wolf-friend as his only company. On the surface he might seem like a hermit, some would even say that he shuts others out just so that he won't have to care about them but that is far from true. Lonewolf cares very deeply for each and every one of his tribe mates; he is just not very good at showing his emotions. Somewhere deep inside his chest beats a big, warm and lonely heart. Although he hungers for friendship and love, he doesn't like to let others come to close (you can't loose what you don't have).
He isn't afraid to speak his mind and he can be very stubborn. But since he is aware of his own tendency to loose his temper half way through an argument, he tries to avoid it. He can sit up in the treetops a whole day without eating or talking to anyone. Especially if he is watching the cubs play. If someone were to look up at him at such a time, they would see a big smile and tear filled eyes.
He is not a the most "wolfish" elf in the tribe, but he has an inner wolf like no other. When he gets pushed too far, or whenever the situation calls for it, that inner wolf will come to life and "take over" his body. When that happens he becomes a wolf. He acts, thinks and fights like a wolf. And like any other wolf, he will defend and provide for his pack (the tribe), or die trying.
Treasures:
His father's sword and his son's bow.
History:
Many turns ago a beautiful female elf named Springflower was attacked and badly wounded by a madly raving crocodilian while out picking dreamberries. Her wounds wouldn't have been lethal if she hadn't been pregnant. She made it back to the Holt, where she gave birth to a baby boy. She saw her newborn just once, and just long enough to name him Darkeye before she passed away.
Darkeye's father, Strongoak, was now faced with the task of raising the baby boy and his older brother on his own. Due to the fact that Darkeye at the age of two still couldn't walk, Strongoak gave him the name Crawler. Crawler eventually learned how to walk, then run and then climb. At the age of seven, Crawler was among the top five climbers in the tribe.
When he was thirtteen turns old, the time had come for his first hunt. Before setting out on the hunt, Strongoak gave his son a short sword. It wasn't a fancy sword, but it was to become one of Crawler's most prized possessions. The hunt went well for young Crawler. His only disappointment was that the hunt supervisor wouldn't let him follow the boar tracks that he found.
It was also during his first hunt that he bonded with his first wolf-friend. Darkspot was to become a huge white male wolf with a spot of slightly darker fur just above the eyes. Like most wolves he was strong and loyal, and he was Crawler's best friend for many turns.
Five turns later, Crawler's older brother, Chip, left the holt after an argument with Strongoak. He never came back. Strongoak and Crawler set out to find him, but instead they found a group of Land Lopers. A short but intense battle followed. After the battle, Crawler desperately tried to bind his father's wounds to stop the bleeding. But it was too late. Strongoak died in his arms.
Crawler was found by the Hunt and brought back to the Holt. He only stayed long enough to heal before he continued to search for his brother. Over the following turns, Crawler spent very little time in the Holt, and the rest of the time he searched for Chip. It was during this period that he took the name Seeker.
Almost twenty full turns of the seasons after Strongoak's death, Seeker returned to the Holt for a longer period of time. This was the first time since Chip had disappeared that Seeker spent more than a few days in the Holt. He had given up hope of ever finding Chip. Seeker now kept to himself most of the time. He seldom spoke to anyone, if he had to communicate he preferred to do so by sending. Some of the others tried to reach out to him, but he pushed them away.
At the age of forty-five, Seeker went on his long overdue soul name search. He returned to the Holt wiser, more open and friendly, and less bitter then when he had left. He allowed others to get close to him again.
Some time later Seeker Recognized Autumnleaf. They had a son. Seeker and Autumn Leaf named their firstborn Night Child. During Night Child's first hunt they ran into yet another Land Loper hunting party and Autumnleaf was captured. Instead of waiting until the others arrived, Seeker and Night Child tried to rescue her on their own. Their foolishness cost Seeker his entire family, including Darkspot, and a lot of blood. Shortly thereafter he changed his name to Lonewolf.
After almost 200 turns of hiding their feelings, Lonewolf and Snowspear finally had a short time as a happy couple. But it didn't last long. Lonewolf's bond wolf, Fire Eye, challenged Snowspear's, Roottail. Roottail won and killed Fire Eye. Lonewolf was so devastated that he left the Holt. He eventually returned, but their relationship would never be the same again.
For a while it looked like Lonewolf would wait a long time before bonding with a new wolf, and truth be told he didn't go up to the wolf den that night to find a new wolf-friend. But fate wanted things differently. He met a fisty little she-wolf, and it was love at first bite.
Wolf-Friend
|
Name: Bite Sex: Female Age: 9 Rank: Mid |
|
Markings:
Red and gold fur with stockings.
Personality:
Bite is a clever wolf. She will never fall for the same trick more than once, and she will very rarely make the same mistake more than once. She knows - after having learned the hard way - which prey to follow and which to leave alone. She also knows just how much her bond likes his boots and how fast she has to run to escape him after chewing on them. Unlike her twin sister, she is very excitable and loves to play, especially rough games such as wresteling; which would be why she repeatedly chews on Lonewolf's boots.
Bite is also expressive. There is never any doubt as to how she is feeling or whether or not she likes something. If she's not happy with a situation, she'll let everyone know. But she's also quick to show both joy and compassion if the situation calls for it. Bite is protective of two things besides her own health and the welfare of the pack: her bond elf and her twin sister, Sunray (Echo's bond). If someone picks a fight with her much calmer twin, they had better be prepared to figt Bite as well.
