War of Final Nights

It started in the War of Screams. We fought the humans then, like any other time for land and resources, but what we hadn't known was the third force silently moving it. We couldn't see it, couldn't stop it as it infested the bodies of our fallen family members. It wasn't until we saw them rise from their deaths, heard them speak when we thought the would never speak again...but they had changed. Though their voices were the same their eyes were not, their hearts were dark and sought to bring their families into their magnificent 'rebirth'. A new war began, a war against the dead that no one could name. Our Lord then was Vyndic, a powerful man with a great pride, a deep pride. He was captured on the battlefield, taken alive for reasons we could not fathom until he returned leading the enemies’ armies to our very doors! Their necromancers have some how warped him and we turned to his son Sion to lead us now. Young and not so bold as his father, Sion preferred us to stay alive instead of battle what he calls the 'Dark Legion'. It is from him we also gained another name, a name for this the most unsacred of wars: The War of Final Nights.
